Margaret – IBS

Alda is a life saver.  About 18 months ago I was diagnosed with IBS and I was referred to Alda by Gastroenterologist, Stephen Perrson.

The IBS was so bad it was defining my life.  Getting to work in the morning seemed like an insurmountable challenge as some mornings it was almost impossible to leave the house.  I’d have doctors’ appointments where I’d have to excuse myself in the middle of a consultation to use the toilet and really the only place I could relax was at home.  I rarely went out and I found myself making excuses for why I was not able to do things.  Work life and social life was suspended.

After my first consultation with Alda I came away with the feeling that there was hope.

She listened to my sorry story and then proceeded to point the way forward out of this awful problem.  She said it was going to be a process that we would take one step at a time.  It was so empowering to know that I could do something to help my condition, and she was with me every step of the way.

It was helpful that I had already kept a food diary after having seen Stephen Perrson, and she was immediately able to go through it and identify all the foods that were upsetting me.  She then worked out a programme for me with safe foods and the difference has been phenomenal.

I still see Alda on a regular basis as questions arise sometimes and it is easy to slip off-course.

I cannot begin to describe how grateful I am to Alda for her careful listening, her expert help and her encouragement.  I would still be confined to home if it were not for her.

For anybody living with  IBS I would advise them to see Alda.  She can provide the help that is needed.   There is no need to suffer.  There is an answer.  She comes with my highest recommendation.

With deepest gratitude, thank you Alda

Margaret
